The Dujardin Bourgogne Aligoté, is an excellent expression to the innovative nature of the Dujardin family, who choose to emphasise quality and modern techniques in their winemaking practices, whilst paying homage to the rich winemaking tradition of Burgundy. The landscape in which these grapes are grown are nestled between the prestigious regions of Meursault and Volnay, the grapes are planted exclusively on limestone-rich soils, and this coupled with an excellent climate is the ideal terroir for strong grape growth. Expect complex aromas of citrus, green apple and some white flower notes.
Dujardin, a respected winery nestled in the heart of Burgundy, is renowned for its commitment to crafting exceptional wines that reflect the region's rich terroir. With a history steeped in tradition and a dedication to quality, Dujardin consistently produces wines that captivate enthusiasts worldwide. Each bottle bears the hallmark of meticulous craftsmanship and a deep respect for the land, making Dujardin a trusted name among wine lovers seeking authentic Burgundian expressions.
This wine shows excellent complexity and concentration of fruit. The nose opens with bright a bright bouquet of green apple and lemon juice, which in turn evolves into white acacia and honey suckle with such a hint of minerality and smoke. On the palate, this wine tastes very light and clean, with the fruit flavours compounded and enriched by a bright and delicate acidity. The finish on this wine is long and complex and shows an intensity of character that speaks to the care and quality of the winemaker’s skill.
The crisp and aromatic character for this wine makes it an excellent aperitif. However, the excellent concentration of fruit and high acidity means that this wine can pair itself equally well with many poultry and seafood dishes. This wine also does very well with cheese pairings, particularly something that would match the high acid that this wine brings.
