Orders placed before 1pm each day Monday – Friday will be despatched the same day as long as the stock is in immediate availability. For some items, we may need to get stock from our stores which could delay despatch by 1 day (2 days in some situations)
Items in stock will be despatched on the same day and delivered via courier. This will usually be delivered on the following working day but please allow one extra day if this is not possible. Deliveries to Scotland & non UK mainland will usually be delivered in 2-3 working days.
We charge a flat fee of £6.90 for delivery if your order is under 20kg and £10 inc-VAT if the order is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £100 (inc VAT).
We aim to ship items within the same working day but always within 2 working days, subject to the order being placed before 1pm and subject to the availability of stock. *If stock is not available at our warehouse and needs to come back from one of our stores before we ship to you, your order may take up to 5 working days to be shipped – whether that is to your delivery address or to one of our stores.

If you call us after your item has shipped, we will be unable to cancel it and you will need to return to us. Located an hour’s drive north of Lisbon, Quinta do Monte d’Oiro (the Hill of Gold) is located in an area of Lisboa with a reputation for producing high quality wines that dates back to the 17th Century. The winery in its current form was established in 1990 by José Bento dos Santos. A lifelong admirer of the great wines of the Rhône Valley, Jose saw the opportunity to replicate these in Portugal. To this end, the estate employs the expertise of Grégory Viennois, previously chief winemaker at the great Rhone estate of Michel Chapoutier.
The 17.5 hectares of vineyards are certified organic, with abundant grasses, herbs and legumes planted between the vines to encourage competition and biodiversity in the vineyard. No chemical herbicides or pesticides are used and the soils are worked and ploughed to avoid compaction and maximise oxygen content.
The wines combine Rhone varietals with a Portuguese sensibility, and dare one say it, perhaps provide better value than some of their French equivalents. This is the outstanding winery of the Lisboa region, and one of the country’s best.
A blend of 50% Viognier + 35% Marsanne + 15% Arinto, the Quinta de Monte D’Oiro Branco is hand-harvested and vinified in stainless steel. Viognier contributes richness and breadth while Marsanne adds spice and Arinto some brisk freshness. Aromas of yellow plum, macadamia and lemon rind .
